Two school-age children were found murdered along with their father in two separate locations across Pleasant Valley in upstate New York. The victims have been named as Abbas Lodhi, 49, Zain Lodhi, 9, and Mugthba Lodhi, 13 reports The Poughkeepsie Journal.
After a 24-hour search, the family's mother Sarwat Lodhi was found dead in Wappinger Falls, New York. The case is now believed to have been murder-suicide bwith cops believing that Abbas Lodhi killed his family before taking his own life.

Police announced at a press conference that a female suspect is "at-large," reports CBS New York. That information was later retracted and the search for a woman, who turned out to be Sarwat Lodhi, continued. New York State Police later announced that the woman was considered a victim.
2. 2 of the Victims Were Shot Dead in a Supermarket Parking Lot
The father and one of his children were found shot dead in the parking lot of an A&P supermarket in Pleasant Valley, New York, reports NBC New York. When police went to the man's residence they found another child shot dead at the address.
The address is believed to be the Brookside Meadows Luxury Rental Community on West Road in Pleasant Valley. The car was a silver nissan pathfinder.
Police were called when a passer-by noticed an unresponsive man in the car in the supermarket parking lot at around 8:30 a.m., reports The Poughkeepsie Journal. Police have said that the woman is part of an immediate family with the victims.

3. Police Have the Murder Weapon
Police have recovered a shotgun in relation to the case, reports ABC New York.
The shotgun is reported by The Poughkeepsie Journal to be the murder weapon and was found in the supermarket parking lot.
4. The Public Should Not Be Concerned
New York State Police are leading the investigation. They have said that the public should not be concerned for their safety. Cops are utilizing canine and aerial assets in their search for the woman, reports Poughkeepsie Journal.

The local school district have reiterated that call for calm, saying in a statement:
They (state police) have assured us that there is no threat to any of our schools. The police have advised us that all schools should continue on their normal schedule. We will keep parents informed as more information becomes available.
Major Robin J. Benziger of the New York State Police told YNN:
We're using all resources available including aviation and our K-9 units to locate this missing individual. The motive at this time is not clear. We believe that this is a family tragedy and we have no reason to believe the public should be concerned for their safety.

5. The Family Owned a Pharmacy in Hyde Park, New York
The Hudson Valley News have first reported that a recently closed pharmacy called the "Hyde Park Pharmacy," may be connected to the investigation.
According to the Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce website, the Hyde Park Pharmacy is owned by Abbas Hayat Lodhi. Abbas Lodhi was eventually named as the man found shot dead in the supermarket parking lot.
