Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe was arrested early on the morning of November 12, charged with possession of weed and speeding, reports Fox Kansas City.

1. Bowe Was First Pulled Over For Speeding

Bowe was doing 48 mph in a 35 mph zone while driving his Audi A8 on West Platte Road at Riverside Street in Riverside, Missouri (above).


2. Bowe’s Car Stank of Weed

The cops who pulled him over detected a strong smell of weed coming out of the car. After searching Bowe, cops found two containers; one contained 6.6 grams of weed, the other had 3.8 grams. Another bag inside the car had 4.2 grams of weed.


3. One of Bowe’s Friends Tried to Take the Hit

A man traveling with Bowe, George Thompson, claimed the drugs were his; he was also found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana.


4. Bowe Will Face a Court Date During Crunch Time

Both men were arrested and had their bonds posted by a friend. They’ll both appear in court on December 18. That date would come in the middle of Chiefs games against the Raiders (15th) and the Colts (22nd)
