Hacktivists and social activist group, Anonymous, is hoping that 1 million mask-donning "Anons" will head to the Nation's capital this Guy Fawkes Day to reinforce class unity and assert "that fairness, justice and freedom are more than just words.”
The video encourages those who support the cause and the commonality to resist governmental control show up in a mask (Guy Fawkes being the de facto standard, not the rule) and march the streets.
A facebook page for the event says:
Remember who your enemies are: billionaires who own banks and corporations who corrupt politicians who enslave the people in injustice.
It also asserts that the event is being put on by "Anonymous, Occupy and WikiLeaks [to] unite whistleblowers, hacktivists and marchers."
John Fairhust, organizer of the main DC rally, said to IB Times " this is not only a protest showing our strength in numbers, [it is] a warning to the powers that be."
While Washington DC is the main event, Anonymous will be having events all throughout the country and world to support its cause.
