Mary Greff, 23, was found strangled to death late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning in her parents' home in Waldwick, New Jersey, where she had been living since she and Mark Spatucci broke up this summer. Her body was discovered next to the crib of their 9-month-old child, who was reportedly unharmed.
Police arrested 22-year-old Spatucci for the killing Wednesday morning. Spatucci is the father of Greff's son and her boyfriend of around two years, according to NBC New York.

1. The Couple Recently Broke Up
According to Greff's family and CBS, Mary Greff and Mark Spatucci had been dating for around two years when they broke up this summer. The break up occurred only months after the birth of their son, also named Mark, in February.
2. Prosecutors Believe He Came in Through the Window
According to NorthJersey.com, police believe that between 11 p.m. Tuesday night and 1 a.m. Wednesday morning, Spatucci climbed in through the window of Greff's second-floor bedroom.
Although an autopsy has yet to be completed, police believe she died of forced asphyxiation. After she was dead, her body was left on the bed and Spatucci is believed to have climbed back out the window.
3. Greff is a Former Beauty Pageant Contestant Who Worked at a Pub
Greff, who was adopted when she was a pre-teen, competed in the Miss New Jersey Teen USA pageant in 2008.
She graduated from Waldwick High School in 2009 and attended Lyndon State College in Vermont.
She recently acquired a job at the Tilted Kilt Pub in Wayne, New Jersey.
4. Spatucci is Charged With Murder
Spatucci is being held on a bail of $2 million. He is being charged with first-degree murder, hindering apprehension, burglary, and endangering the welfare of a child. His first appearance before a judge will occur Friday morning at 10 a.m.
5. Greff's Parents Will Take Care of the Infant
Greff's parents will retain her custody. Since the break-up, Spatucci was only granted visitation rights to his son.
