The NYPD are conducting a murder investigation after the bodies of Ida Randolph, 55, and her 21-year-old daughter, Jena, were found in their apartment in The Bronx, reports New York 1.

Here's what you need to know:


1. The two bodies were found in their apartment on Valentine Avenue in the Bedford Park neighborhood of The Bronx.


2. Their bodies were bound with duct tape in different rooms in the home.


3. Neighbors have reacted with shock. One told NY1:

Knowing that was happening to two other people, them being women especially, is, just it's disappointing. It's sad, it's really sad.


4. NYPD found the bodies when a relative contacted police after neither woman had been heard from for several days.


5. No motive or suspects have been released by police. An NYPD spokesman said police have not found a murder weapon. The case is being treated as a double-homicide, reports News 12. The building's superintendent is hopeful CCTV footage may provide clues in the investigation.
