Sir David Paradine Frost, the English journalist and media personality, has passed away at the age of 74. He is best known to American audiences for his 1977 interviews with Richard Nixon wherein he got Nixon to apologize. His story was the basis for the 2006 play Frost/Nixon, which went on to become the 2008 Academy Award-nominated movie of the same, starring Michael Sheen and Frank Langella. Beyond Nixon, he also interviewed the last Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and hosted a discussion with Muammar Gaddafi of Libya.
