Jonathan Ferrell was an unarmed 24-year-old shot and killed by police early Saturday morning outside Charlotte, NC. Ferrell had just gotten into a car accident and knocked on the door of a local house for help. When the resident got scared she called the police who shortly arrived on the scene. When Ferrell approached them, they open fired. Officer Randall Kerrick is being charged with voluntary manslaughter for the slaying.
