New York City police arrested a man who claims to have raced his way around Manhattan in under 24 minutes, reports Business Insider.
A Youtube video posted by user AfroDuckProduction clocks the driver at 24 minutes and seven seconds on the 26.5-mile loop on August 26 in a BMW Z3. It's claimed to be the fastest anyone has ever completed a full loop around the city by car.
Police arrested 30-year-old Christopher Adam Tang after identifying him as the man behind the wheel.
"We've seen this before. We've taken enforcement action," Police Commissioner Ray Kelly told MyFoxNY.com before catching him. "We now have license plate readers that will help in this investigation."
Tang was arrested for reckless driving and reckless endangerment and also had his BMW impounded.
Before getting caught, Tang wrote as his pseudonym, "You frankly can't identify who I am by just looking at the video and records were meant to be broken. I'll release my name a year from now."
