A man and a woman were found dead at a home in Pinole, California early Friday morning and a relative at the scene was arrested on suspicion of murder, reports NBC Bay Area News.
Authorities went to the home on the 1100 block of Tara Hills Drive around 2:30 a.m. to follow up on a report of an unspecified problem where a resident told police there might be injured people inside. Upon further investigation, police found a man and a woman, both in their 50s, dead who appeared to have been killed.
Pinole police Cmdr. Neil Gang said they arrested a 25-year-old man who also lived at the residence and who is a relative of the victims. A woman believed to be the suspect's sister
Gang could not confirm how the victims and the suspect were related and said his name would not be released until he has been booked into jail. He is the only suspect in the case .
"All indications are that this is an isolated incident," Gang said.
The killings are Pinole's first homicides since 2011.
