Walmart Shoplifter Rams Cop With Car, Is Shot by Cops, Stumbles Bleeding Into Store

There's been a wild police-involved shooting incident outside a Walmart store in Bartlett, Tennessee. Here's what we know so far.

1. An alleged shoplifter struck a police officer with a car, was then shot by police — and stumbled bleeding into the store.

WREG reports:

The shoplifter got into the vehicle, which the officer tried to stop, but it struck and injured him.
The officer then shot at the vehicle, hitting one man in the arm.
That man then got out of the vehicle and went into the Walmart, saying, “I’ve been shot! I’ve been shot!”

Bartlett Police Motor officer was outside his car when he noticed what he believed to be shoplifters who had just left the store.

When they got in their vehicle he attempted to stop them. The suspects then hit him with their car. The officer fired and hit one of the suspects in the arm.

The suspect ran into the store yelling he was shot by a cop.

2. The store was placed on lockdown, with shoppers herded to the back.

3. There were three alleged shoplifters; all are in custody.

The officer attempted to stop three shoplifting suspects. The suspects tried to drive off in a car. That is when the officer fired two shots hitting one of the suspects.

The officer was taken to the hospital with a knee injury.
