A raging truck fire on the lower deck of New York’s Queensboro Bridge, aka the 59th Street Bridge, prompted a massive emergency response this morning after early reports of an “explosion” that were later debunked.
Here’s a live-stream, showing traffic is still moving slowly on the upper deck.
Several fire vehicles are on the scene.
FDNY: about 12 units fighting that truck fire on the lower level Queensboro (Koch) Bridge, Manhattan-bound side. Not under control yet.
