A private plane smashed into a home in Columbus, Indiana, this morning, setting the home ablaze as neighbors watched in horror. According to reports, the two men who were inside the single-engine plane were taken to the Columbus Regional Hospital. One of the passengers was in critical condition upon suffering severe burns.

The woman who was inside the severely damaged home at the time of collision was unharmed. An unnamed witness told local news that said that she heard the plane's engine "cutting out" right before impact. James Hyer, who was also near the home before the accident, said that he could see the plane rapidly losing altitude and suspected it was going to crash.
