Alexander Bradley, 32 was once a friend to former NFL star and current alleged murderer Aaron Hernandez. But, after a violent altercation on February 13, 2013, Bradley is suing Hernandez for $100,000 and could provide important and incriminating evidence in the Odin Lloyd murder case.
Here's what you should know about this key player in the Hernandez saga.
1. His Eye Got Shot Out
According to the original iteration of the lawsuit, shown above, Hernandez, Bradley and some friends were at a strip club called Tootsie's in Miami, Florida. Bradley and Hernandez apparently had some kind of an argument and then group all got into one car and left together. In the car, Hernandez allegedly produced a gun and pointed it at Bardley's face. When the gun discharged, it caused damage to Bradley's face and hand causing the loss of his right eye and the need for facial reconstruction surgery.

On June 13, 2013, Bradley filed a lawsuit against Hernandez that requested $100,000 for the pain, suffering, and medical bills associated with the injuries sustained from the gunshot wound. The suit was dismissed 4 days later due to an "error in paperwork" but has been refilled. On July 1, 2013, Hernandez was served the papers informing him that he was being sued while in prison.
3. He Will Testify Before a Grand Jury
Bradley is being compelled via subpoena to appear before a grand jury on July 17, 2013 to testify in the trial of Aaron Hernandez for the murder of Odin Lloyd. His appearance in court could be due to the similarities between his shooting and the killing of Lloyd, he could be called a character witness, or his shooting could allow the prosecution to put more charges on Hernandez.
4. He Used to be Hernandez's Assistant
Bradley has been described as a friend, associate and even former personal assistant to the former tight end Aaron Hernandez.
5. Bradley is a Convicted Drug Dealer
It turns out that Bradley has a fairly extensive criminal history. He was charged in 2006 with the distribution of cocaine and served 18 months in prison. He has also been charged with drunk driving, assault, burglary, and criminal mischief, driving with a suspended license, and disorderly conduct, according to The Smoking Gun.
His most recent charge, felony burglary, occurred two months after he lost his right eye in the incident with Hernandez.
