There are two people dead at a home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri after shots were fired early Thursday morning, reports KFVS 12.

Here's what we know so far...
1. A Mother and Son Are Confirmed Dead
Cape Girardeau police say Mary Joseph, 57, and her son Matthew Joseph, 18, are confirmed to have died from gunshot wounds.

George Joseph, 48, is being treated at a local hospital, according to Cape Girardeau Police.

The shooting occurred Thursday morning, local police received the call that shots were fired in the home at 1220 West Cape Rock Drive, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
2. There Are "Multiple Fatalties"
Cape Coroner John Clifton confirms multiple fatalities from the shooting incident.

Cape Girardeau County Coroner John Clifton has confirmed there are "multiple fatalities" at the home. Police have only confirmed one death so far according KFVS 12.
Cape Girardeau police spokesman Darin Hickey told the Southeast Missourian:
There has been a fatality, there has been a fatality. I'm not going to confirm how many. We're still literally at the beginning stages of the investigation.
Hickey later told reporters:
About 8 o'clock this morning we received a call there was a person down, officers and medical personnel arrived on scene. At this point we are investigating a shooting where we do have multiple victims. We are trying to determine what the actual occurrences were-to what happened. We don't know who all is involved yet, and we are trying to determine that at this point.
There is no active threat to residents in the area.

Sgt. Jason Selzer says the department is in the early stages of its investigation.
3. The Address is Listed to a Drug Company
A Google search of the address 1220 West Cape Rock Drive in Cape Girardeau returns a listing for Missouri Pharmex LLC, a Drug Wholesale & Distribution company. The company is listed George Joseph. An online profile of the company reads:

4. Cape Girardeau is a College Town
