No stranger to controversy, Oliver Stone, along with Peter Kuznick, his cowriter for the Untold History of the United States, sat down with Krishnan Guru-Murthy of Channel 4 News and expounded on the many untruths that we Americans hold to be true about our history.
Some highlights:
• The average European is more well-educated about American history than the average American.
• The U.S. and the South Koreans are provoking the North Koreans
• A discussion of the royal f*ckup that was the American response to 9/11
• Americans are gullible because of advertising
And the best of all, Stone accidentally says "Obama" when he means "Osama." He corrects himself, but the damage is done.
