Tsarnaev was an avid Instagram user, but deleted the account before he carried out the Boston Marathon bombing with his older brother Tamerlan, who was shot and killed in a firefight with officers in Watertown, Massachusetts.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev also was a frequent user of Twitter as well, and it’s been well documented.
Instagram is a popular photo-filtering app that was bought by Facebook for $1 billion. The company’s Terms of Service agreement that all users need to sign indicates that Instagram may hand over your private data if it’s requested by the authorities.
