Police say a 4-year-old boy accidentally shot his 6-year-old neighbor in the head yesterday evening in Toms River, New Jersey, reports Toms River Patch.
The victim was flown by helicopter to a medical center and is in stable condition.
The children were playing outside the 4-year-old's house, and the parents were home.
Cops want to know how the weapon, a .22 caliber rifle, got in the boy's hands. Cops believe the gun came from inside the home.
