20. Vatican Purchases Europe’s Largest Gay Sauna
The Vatican seems to get itself embroiled in enough scandal that they’d be inclined to not create any more trouble for themselves, but they’ve done it again. The Holy See had made a seemingly innocuous, albeit pricey, real estate purchase at €23 million ($30 million), only to find that the Rome apartment block they bought contains Europe’s largest gay bathhouse. D’oh!

19. Five Crashes in 12 Hours: Britain’s Most Dangerous Corner
Steve Cobbin and neighbour, Colin Brine, had to deal with crash after crash on Sunday night and into Monday morning outside of their cottages on the A371 at Evercreech, Somerset. The first accident happened Sunday afternoon when Cobbin returned home to find a car sitting in his driveway. The driver, a woman, was in distress after losing control of her car and doing a 180-degree spin before landing in the driveway. Three hours later, another car crashed through his neighbor’s yard and landed in his garden.

18. Thousands of Caterpillars Found in Passenger Luggage at London Airport
It was a quite unusual day for the London-Gatwick Airport security team. On February 23rd they seized 200 pounds worth of dried caterpillars from a man’s luggage. The man, 22, from Burkina Faso in Africa, traveled to London via Istanbul, Turkey. He claimed that the insects were for his own “personal consumption”, BBC reports.

17. Woman With World’s Longest Legs Now a Basketball Coach in Virginia
Svetlana Pankratova has always known that she was exceptionally tall, standing at 6’5″, but it wasn’t until 2002 that it occurred to her that she might hold a world record. Although she is not the tallest person in the world, the Russian native holds the Guinness World Record for the longest legs. Her record-breaking legs take up over four feet of her body height.

16. 7-Year-Old’s Diet Plan Sheds Shameful Light on Our Culture
The childish scribbles and flowery stationary make it seem innocent, but this note calls attention to our dangerous appearance and weight-loss obsessed culture. The note was found by Amy Cheney, among the “Polly Pockets, friendship bracelets” in her daughter’s room, as though a diet plan fits in perfectly with a 7-year-old’s life. Cheney expressed her outrage in a blog upon finding her girl’s, referred to as Miss Seven, “diyet” plan.

It also reveals that gay men seem to have the opposite trend as heterosexual males have nearly double the risk of obesity compared to homosexual males. This grant covets fund the research that will find the root cause of these obvious disparities.

14. Dog Saves French Woman From Committing Suicide
A German shepherd stopped its owner from committing suicide after a French woman aimed a rifle on her chest. According to the local paper Le Figaro, the 63-year-old woman had a 22-caliber gun in her hand taking several shots before turning the weapon onto her herself.

13. Move Over Loch Ness Monster, UK Welcomes ‘Beast of Tenby’
I was taking my dog for her evening walk across the south beach when she started acting out of character by howling and running round in circles,” Bailey told the Western Telegraph. “I ran up to her to see if she was ok and then I came across this hideous looking carcass. I could see it had little hair left on it’s decomposing body. Immediately I thought it was a horse but it had claws like a bear and a body of a pig. Surprisingly it didn’t smell.”

11. 12-Year-Old Girl Brings $20K to School in Michigan
The girl reportedly gave $200 to a fellow student and $500 to another. She claims she was given the cash by her neighbors. Police have the money now and are waiting until the neighbors can provide an explanation for having the cash and what it was going to be used for.
