The Telegraph reports that Elizabeth Jones, 22, was sentenced to 16 months in jail after she admitted that she falsely accused her latest victim because she "didn't like him anymore." He was taken into custody and questioned for 9 hours before being released.
Then it was revealed that she made her first rape complaint back in 2004 when she was just 13 years old. Then over the next 9 years she made a number of similar accusations, with 8 just between the years 2005 and 2007.
She was never charged, and only given a 10 month detention and training in 2009 for a similar crime.
Jennie Rickman, the prosecutor, reported that detectives launched an investigation after this latest accusation, but the scene of the alleged attack did not support her account. Rickman said, "There is a history of her making false allegations of this nature and this is the 11th incident."
The compulsive liar's defense attorney said that Jones had a traumatic childhood, and came clean at the earliest possible time. However, the victim of her accusation had to deal with the emotional consequences of being pegged a rapist, and felt that 16 months wasn't long enough of a punishment.
