Remember when we told you the Pope is getting his own Twitter feed? At the time we gave you a sneak preview.
Well, the Vatican revealed today that His Holiness' handle will be @Pontifex and he'll send his first tweet on December 12 — in Q&A format.

By 11:21 a.m. EST the Pope had 129,000-plus followers. By 11:46 that number was well over 138,000.
And he has getting @-mentioned like a mo-fo.
Some warm welcomes, some lame jokes, and a lot of inappropriate stuff, much of it NSFW.
Scottish comedian Frankie Boyle is among those shouting out to Benedict XVI in crude fashion:
.@pontifex Hi Pope. You know how the clergy are our line of communication with God? When priests shag kids does God feel it? Is he into it?

Rob Delaney, another comedian with a huge Twitter audience, chimed in:
.@pontifex My cousin Sean & I touched ween heads behind our grandparents’ barn when I was 7. Am I going to hell? Welcome to Tweeter!
