Paula Broadwell, the woman who grew up to be Gen. Petraeus’ mistress, was an overachieving superstar even in her teen years, according to information from her yearbook.

Back when she was Paula Kranz, in the class of ’91 at Century High School in Bismarck, North Dakota, she was valedictorian, homecoming queen, state student council president, an All-State basketball player and lead violin player in the school orchestra.

Prophetically, she was voted “Most Likely to be Remembered.”

The Daily Mail found a quote from her yearbook that portrays an annoyingly perfect young woman:

Working hard for something adds to the satisfaction of achieving that goal. I don’t feel I missed out on being a teenager; but through the many opportunities I’ve been given, I’ve lived life to the fullest — giving the best that I had so the best would come back.

Barf. Maybe if she did more drugs and had more sex in high school she wouldn’t be go down in history as that chick who banged the general. But enough psychoanalysis.

Check out these innocent images of the woman whose body would one day dismantle the head of the CIA.

Paula was named homecoming queen. That stud on her arm is the king, Mike McCormick. He listed his top Homecoming memories in the yearbook: “running 80+ yards for a touchdown, kissing Paula on the cheek, and sitting in the huge throne.”

Like being the tallest midget in the circus, Paul had the best hair of her group of friends in North Dakota.
