There's been speculation since the outbreak of the Nicki Minaj-Mariah Carey American Idol feud that it's all a hoax ginned up by producers to drive ratings. Well, count former American Idol judge Steven Tyler among those that think it's fake.
In a new video on TMZ (see below), a cameraman yells out to Mr. Tyler asking him if he thinks the beef was BS. He responds, "Of course."
There doesn't appear to be a doubt in his mind. It seems like the typical sort of reality show TV producer thing to do. That said this time it's with actual celebrities as opposed to random crazy people who think they're celebrities because people put them on TV.
And hey, it's worked. This "feud" is the most I've heard about American Idol since Sanjaya.
