Senator Marco Rubio’s 12-year-old daughter was involved in a car accident. She was airlifted from the accident to the hospital. She’s currently in stable condition.
Marco Rubio is the junior Republican senator from Florida. He has been campaigning with Mitt Romney all day, when he heard that his oldest daughter, 12-year-old Amanda, had been in an accident. He immediately flew down to Miami to be with her.
Sometimes in the heat of an intensely partisan election, it can be all too easy to forget that everyone involved on both sides are real people. They have lives and families. It’s sad that it takes an frightening event like this to remind people of this. Regardless of where you stand politically or otherwise, I’m sure the entire nation is hoping the best for Marco and Amanda Rubio and the entire Rubio family.
