No need to bother carrying around a ring of keys like some medieval dungeon master, metal keys are now a thing of the past. Lockitron allows users to lock or unlock the door to their home with their smartphone from anywhere in the world. The technology also notifies you when there’s a visitor at your door and allows you to grant lock access to as may people as you choose.
The MAJOR downside of this that’s not addressed in the video, when your phone is stolen the criminals now have easy access to your home. Also, what happens when your battery dies and your locked out of your house, standing in the rain? Hmmm, then what, Lockitron?
