For those of you out there who are gun enthusiasts and are looking to get engaged you’re in luck: The Gazette reports that a jewelry store on North Liberty, Iowa is now offering free rifles with any diamond purchase of $1,999 or more.
While impressive enough on its own the real shocker of this story is that it’s not the only store! Last month in September another store in Atlanta, Georgia another jewelry store offered a similar promotion where with any purchase of diamonds of at least $2,500 in value customers would receive a free rifle valued at around $430.
Still, even the Atlanta jeweler can’t be considered to be the start of this trend because last year a Radio Shack in Hamilton, Montana offered free rifles for anyone that came in and signed up for a new Dish Network plan.
The big question is: is purchasing TV service or diamonds a good selection criteria for anyone to be given a gun?
