Suspected Bank Robbers Hurl Money Onto Streets of LA

Bank Heist

Suspected bank robbers spewed cash out onto the streets of a low-income part of Los Angeles on Wednesday during a police chase, according to Fox News. The heist drew people into the streets, grabbing the money until a pickup blocked their path and they had to surrender.

“It’s our neighborhood stimulus package!” resident Diane Dorsey told the Los Angeles Times while she watched the bedlam unfold from her front yard at the corner of Kansas and Vernon avenues.

It is believed that the suspected robbers threw the money out of the SUV’s windows to draw out people from their houses and into the streets to block the pursuing police cars.

Two of the suspected robbers fled the SUV. One suspect was taken into custody while the other remained at large. The chase concluded when a pickup blocked the SUV’s path to move forward.
