Yellow Line Painted Over Dead Raccoon in Epic Road Kill Fail

Road kill is equal parts sad and funny. But in this case it’s at least two-thirds funny. Maybe even seven-eighths.

Motorcyclist Sean McAfee tells the tells the Tribune Democrat that he “almost wrecked my motorcycle because I was laughing so hard” when he came across the unusual sight on Franklin Street in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

Road crew authorities told the newspaper the unfortunate paint job was unavoidable:

“They did try to stop the paint gun,” District 9 traffic engineer John Ambrosini said. “But with the amount of congestion Thursday, the squirrelly geometry of the road and the size of equipment, they couldn’t turn around to go back and fix the mistake.”

Squirrelly and raccoony.
