Paul McCartney Releasing Back Catalog With Indie Label

Paul McCartney-excuse me. Sir Paul McCartney just announced that he will release a back catalog of his solo music with Conchord Music Group instead of his former label EMI Group, The Wall Street Journal reports. The indie label will have the rights to distribute around 50 of McCartney’s albums he recorded after the Beatles from 1970 – 2006.

McCartney said, “I’ve had a good working relationship with Concord and enjoyed our mutual love of music.”

Radiohead and the Rolling Stones have also moved away from EMI in the past.
