On our neverending mission to bring you undiscovered pop gems from small labels, it's all about Baby Monster this week. With only two original songs and a couple of remixes (including fellow Breakthrough Band chanteuse Ellie Goulding) out there, the Oregon-based duo have caused a good amount of buzz on the blogs and seem like a great choice for the first release on the newly found label by one of the leading indie dance music blogs out there: BIGSTEREO.
Their sound has been compared to recent indie pop shooting stars such as MGMT and Passion Pit and in a world as great as ours, their stunningly beautiful new single 'She Comes Alive' should cause a similar uproar in the media some time soon, seeing indie boys and girls all over singing along. And while I have had these hopes a couple of times before, I am usually not that far off and I consider this the most immediately captivating pop song I have heard so far this year, having it on repeat since weeks.
