NO. Seriously. I like techno, and I'm sick of taking your crap about it. There's this bias against techno that personally, I think is bullsquid. Yes, so maybe many of the people that like techno are EuroTrash Ed Hardy wearing douchebags. But honestly, without Techno, I wouldn't get anything done.
Here's an experiment: drink three cups of coffee and put on some big head phones and turn on the ATB channel on your preferred online radio station. See how much work you get done. If it weren't for techno, I wouldn't be writing this blog post.
Now tomorrow, find some Andrew Bird, Alexi Murdoch, the Beatles or anything else. Drink your three cups of coffee and find out what happens. YOU WILL WORK LESS. Your boss WILL FIRE YOU. And you will be left on the street with your cardboard sign that says "Out of work. Should have listened to more techno" and the people that you used to be will stop and take pictures on their fancy iPhone (you pawned yours and a rimjob in exchange for a cheeseburger) and they will submit it to digg or reddit and you will be one of those homeless people in submissions like "25 Funniest Bum Signs".
All because you didn't listen to Techno. So put your headphones on and get to it.
