So we're cautiously optimistic for Vin Diesel returning for a third Riddick movie - after all, Pitch Black was the flick that established him as a legitimate contender for action stardom, and The Chronicles Of Riddick, while getting a little weird with the character, was a fun ride with a lot of clever universe-building. The third installment, currently just titled Riddick, gets the big man back to his roots. Once again stranded on a hostile alien planet, it's Riddick against the world once more, battling strange beasts and even stranger humanoids, as two squads of bounty hunters are after him. As long as they keep it gritty and close to the ground (ie no ancient prophecies or Judi Dench), I'm on board. The Hollywood Reporter has more.
