Out on parole after eight years in, Bill returns home to find his sons abandoned by their mother and fending for themselves. Unwilling to play Dad he is determined to move on but ultimately finds he quite likes the boys. Bill's next steps show what sort of a Dad he wants to be - a good one or a free one.
