Nora Ephron, one of Hollywood’s most powerful and successful female luminaries, has passed away at the age of 71. Ephron rose to power in Tinsel Town off the strength of her sharp, witty and all together light-hearted insights into the complexity of relationships in films like When Harry Met Sally and Sleepless in Seattle. The former, Nora’s first major screenwriting foray, entered Nora’s writing into the American cinematic lexicon with its infamous restaurant scene. Nora’s work in romantic cinema continued throughout the '90s with films like My Blue Heaven, Michael, and You’ve Got Mail—a followup of sorts to Sleepless in Seattle.
