New York Comic Con 2013: Top 10 Movie & TV Panels You Need To Attend

New York Comic Con 2013 is set to start tomorrow. The annual conference has something for everyone but movie lovers and binge watchers will have an excellent selection of panels to choose from. These are the top ten panels you need to attend.

1. Warner Bros. TV Special Pilot Screening

Thurs. October 10 6:15pm-8:30pm Empire Stage 1-E

Warner Bros. Television will kick off the festivities tomorrow by showing a special screening of a few of their pilots including Almost Human which premieres Monday, November 4th at 8pm on Fox as well as The 100 which airs midseason on The CW. The Tomorrow People pilot will have a special presentation in case you miss the first episode tonight on The CW.


2. Comic Book Men

Fri. October 11 11:00am-12:00pm Main Stage 1-D

Kevin Smith and the cast of Comic Book Men will be in attendance for a special panel on Friday to chat with fans about everything geeky. The reality series about the comic book shop will return for its third season on Sunday October 13th at midnight. The crew will be talking about all of the upcoming antics involved with their shop and this panel will be live streamed in case you can’t make it!


3. Child’s Play 25th Anniversary

Fri. October 11 12:15pm-1:15pm Main Stage 1-D

The famous killer doll is celebrating 25 years on the silver screen and the cast and crew will reunite to discuss the evolution of the franchise. Watch the panel as Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly and other talks about the lethal toy’s terrifying legacy as they introduce the next chapter of Chucky’s reign of terror Curse of Chucky which arrives on Blu-Ray October 8th.


4. Game of Thrones With Jerome Flynn

Fri. October 11 12:30pm – 1:30pm Stage 1A-23

Winter is coming but the new season of Game of Thrones is still far away. Satisfy your craving by watching Jerome Flynn chat with fans about his role as Bronn on the popular HBO show.

5. Oldboy

Fri. October 11 6:00pm-7:00pm Main Stage 1-D

Another event that will be livestreamed, the cast and crew will be there to talk about the film as well as show off some incredible new footage. The movie is a remake by Spike Lee that follows the journey of Joe Doucette, a man who was mysteriously imprisoned for 20 years before being set free. The film opens nationwide next month.

Sat. October 12th 1:30pm – 2:30pm Main Stage 1-D

Curious to know how Scott can handle being a True Alpha? As long as you know what I’m talking about then you better not miss the Teen Wolf Panel. Unfortunately, the entire cast won’t be in attendance but Dylan O’Brien and Linden Ashby will have the scoop on what to expect.

7. Marvel Agents of SHIELD

Sat, October 12 5:00pm – 6:15pm Main Stage 1-D

Jeph Loeb, Marvels TV president will preside over this panel. He’ll answer questions about fall’s hottest new show while possibly giving some information about the upcoming Marvel movies. This panel is not to be missed!

8. The Walking Dead

Sat. October 12 6:30pm – 7:30pm Main Stage 1-D

Season 4 is set to start on October 13th which is why the whole cast is coming to Comic Con in full force this year. The panel will offer a special sneak preview of the season so make sure you get a front row seat!

9. The League

Sun October 13 12:15pm – 1:15pm Main Stage 1-D

Kick off the last day by cracking up with the cast and crew from The League. The current season started airing on new network FXX this year but its still the same old loveable show. See if you can get advice on your fantasy team cause I sure need it while watching this panel.

10. The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug

Sun October 13 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm Stage 1A14

Join the staff of TheOneRing.net and learn as much as you can about the upcoming sequel to last year’s hit epic feature. You could find something “precious” that could give you new insight into J.R.R. Tolkien.
