Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump) takes some cues straight from the headlines in his next dramatic film about heroes and the scrutiny society puts them under. Zemeckis' movie Flight, seems to borrow a bit from the Sully Sullenberger story and fuse it with the news stories from past few years about airline pilots and accusations drinking on the job. Denzel Washington plays a pilot who defies the odds and saves a plane from a fiery crash, only to be put on trial for having alcohol in his system at the time. The film opens November 2, 2012.
