World Extreme Cagefighting has signed a long-term DVD distribution deal with Image Entertainment, Inc.
The first event DVD released under the new partnership will be “Aldo vs. Faber,” the first-ever WEC pay per view event that took place last month. The event featured a main event bout between featherweight champion Jose Aldo and former champion Urijah Faber. Aldo left Faber battered and bruised during a one-sided decision victory.
“We are pleased to announce this distribution agreement with Image Entertainment,” WEC vice president Peter Dropick said in a press release. “We have very loyal fans that continuously follow us, and by teaming up with Image Entertainment, we are building a DVD library for them to enjoy whenever they’d like.”
The “Aldo vs. Faber” release will feature all main card and preliminary bouts in addition to extra footage and special features. It will be available in DVD and Blu-ray formats.
