SAN JOSE, Calif. – It was one strange afternoon at the UFC 139 weigh-ins at the HP Pavilion.

Preliminary card fighters Shamar Bailey, Miguel Torres and Nick Pace all came in overweight. Torres made weight on his third attempt, but Bailey and Pace will be forced to pay 20% of their purse as a fine.

Pace weighed 139 pounds at the hotel an hour before weigh-ins. UFC doctors told him he couldn’t cut any more weight, and the Torres camp agreed to the fight anyway.
