Tito Ortiz vs. Rogerio Nogueira On Tap For UFC 128

Tito Ortiz isn’t quite finished with the UFC just yet.

UFC President Dana White today confirmed during a fan Q&A session in Germany that “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” will face Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in March 2011, possibly at UFC 128 – an event rumored to take place in Abu Dhabi.

Ortiz hasn’t landed a victory in more than four years. After a recent loss to Matt Hamill at October’s UFC 121 in Anaheim, White refused to say that Ortiz would be given another chance to fight for the promotion, leading many to believe that the surefire Hall of Famer would be released from the company.

But it appears Ortiz will be given another chance against Nogueira, a PRIDE veteran who recently lost to top prospect Ryan Bader. The pair will face off in a bout that will almost certainly see the loser released from his UFC contract.
