The UFC’s annual year-end event is set for January 1 with UFC 125.
According to MMAjunkie.com, the event has been scheduled for the first day of 2011 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The UFC’s year-end show for 2009, UFC 108, is likely still fresh in the memories of the promotion’s executives. The card was marred by injuries, forcing a stacked card to be broken down into one that was far less intriguing. Regardless, the event delivered with several vicious knockouts and an evening of excitement.
No fights have been scheduled for the January 1 event as of yet, which should come as no surprise considering the event is still four months away. The card will likely include at least one title fight, along with several other intriguing match ups to bolster the anticipation of the event.
