Sakara, Rivera Slated For UFC 123 Bout

UFC middleweights Jorge Rivera and Alessio Sakara have verbally agreed to square off at UFC 122 in Germany on Nov. 13.

The Boston Herald was the first to report the story on Monday morning.

The pair were originally scheduled to face off at Saturday’s UFC 118 event, but a broken arm suffered by Rivera forced him off the card. Sakara was then slated to face replacement Gerald Harris but also suffered an injury, forcing him to be scratched from the card entirely.

Rivera is riding a three-fight win streak with his last victory coming over Nate Quarry in March. Sakara will also be seeking his fourth-straight win after defeating James Irvin in his last bout.
