Wilks vs. Patrick Slated For UFC 120 In October

The winner of season nine of “The Ultimate Fighter” now is set to make his third appearance in the UFC since winning the title back in 2009. James Wilks will meet fellow rising welterweight Claude Patrick at UFC 120 in London, England this October.

Mauro Ranallo confirmed the fight on “The Fight Show” and it has since been confirmed by MMAjunkie.com.

Wilks defeated Damarques Johnson at “The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale” to earn the title of “The Ultimate Fighter”, but failed to follow up with a second victory in the promotion when he lost to Matt Brown via technical knockout at “The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale”. However, in his last outing, he managed to right the ship with a unanimous decision win over Peter Sobotta at UFC 115.

Patrick, who made his debut with the promotion at UFC 115, earned a submission victory in his 13th career fight, defeating Ricardo Funch via rear naked choke on the evening’s preliminary card. The victory pushed the Canadian’s record to 12-1.

UFC 120 is set for London, England’s O2 Arena on October 16. No bouts have been made official for the event, but a welterweight bout between Michael Bisping and Yoshihiro Akiyama is expected to serve as the main event of the evening.
