The MMA Daily Recap: June 14, 2010

Former Army Green Beret Tim Kennedy will take on Trevor Prangley at Strikeforce: Los Angeles this Wednesday. Kennedy took some time out of his training to speak with Heavy’s Brian D’Souza about MMA, the Army and more.

We broke the news this morning that “UFC on Versus 2” has been moved from Salt Lake City to San Diego.

WEC officials announced that WEC 50 will be headlined by Dominick Cruz defending his new title against Joseph Benavidez. Tickets for the event go on sale Thursday. Urijah Faber will also drop to bantamweight and face Takeya Mizugaki.

Fedor Emelianenko and Randy Couture will grace the cover of “EA Sports MMA,” which releases October 19.

Robbie Lawler says he’s ready to be a contender again. Lawler faces Babalu Sobral on the “Strikeforce: Los Angeles” card.
