Following yesterday’s announcement making UFC 116 and its headlining bout between Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin official, the UFC has confirmed six more fights for the card.
UFC 116 takes place at July 3 in Las Vegas.
Fights added to the main card include Yoshihiro Akiyama taking on Wanderlei Silva and a rematch between Krzysztof Soszynski and Stephan Bonnar.
Preliminary card bouts announced include Brendan Schaub vs. Chris Tuchscherer, Kendall Grove vs. Goran Reljic, Chris Lytle vs. Matt Brown and Jon Madsen vs. heavyweight newcomer Karlos Vemola.
Akiyama has not competed since UFC 100 last year, where he scored a questionable decision over Alan Belcher. Silva last fought at UFC 110 in Australia, where he defeated Michael Bisping via unanimous decision.
