Ryan Couture is set to make his professional MMA debut at “Strikeforce Challengers 10” in Arizona next month.
Couture,27, is the son of legendary multiple-time UFC champion and Hall of Famer Randy Couture. The younger Couture chalked up a 5-1-1 record as an amateur, with all five wins coming by way of submission. He trains at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas.
Couture will take on fellow lightweight Lucas Stark in the first bout of a multiple-fight deal.
“Strikeforce Challengers 10” features a headlining bout between Joe Riggs and Louis Taylor in addition to a women’s welterweight one-night tourney.
