The card is headlined by a middleweight title rematch between champion Anderson Silva and top contender Chael Sonnen, while Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin meet in the co-main event of the evening.

Mike Easton vs. Ivan Menjivar
Round 1: Easton with a lot of movement early. He misses on a leg kick. Front kick from Menjivar is blocked. Inside leg kick lands for Easton. He ducks under a head kick and misses with a combination. They exchange, but neither land. Easton misses with a huge combination. Kick lands a bit low from Easton, but action is not paused. Easton misses with a big combination again. Menjivar with a leg kick. They exchange, and Easton separates with a leg kick. Easton short on another combination. Head kick from Menjivar blocked. Front kick lands for him shortly after. Head kick lands for Easton. Spinning back kick from Menjivar. Front kick lands for Easton. He misses on a combination. Another exchange, and Easton lands. Fake spinning back kick from Menjivar followed by a missed kick. Leg kick from Menjivar. Superman punch misses for Easton. Leg kick from Menjivar. Easton is working combinations, but not landing a lot of shots. He scores a nice hook to the body, however. Fighters exchange, trading back and forth, but neither is landing anything significant. Takedown attempt from Easton and he earns it. Menjivar throws his legs up, looking for an arm, but nothing seems to be there.  He scrambles and gets back up to the feet without taking much damage on the floor. Inside leg kick lands for Easton. Chad Mendes vs. Cody McKenzie
Round 1: McKenzie comes forward with strikes, but Mendes fires back. Inside leg kick lands for Mendes, and McKenzie misses on a couple leg kicks. Mendes catches a body kick and lands a body punch. McKenzie crumbles, and Mendes slams hammerfists down from above. This fight is over. Huge knockout win for Mendes.

Official Decision: Mendes def. McKenzie via knockout at 0:31 of Round 1 

Dong Hyun Kim vs. Demian Maia
Round 1: Touch of gloves. Maia with a takedown attempt, and Kim makes him pay with big elbows. Kim still trying to avoid being taken down, as Maia moves to the back. Maia trips Kim down and lands in full mount. Referee Mario Yamasaki steps in and Maia stands up in celebration. This fight is over. Apparently, Kim broke something on the takedown and was forced to tap, verbally maybe. Interesting, confusing end to the fight.

Cung Le vs. Patrick Cote
Round 1: Touch of gloves to begin this middleweight fight. Cote with a leg kick, and Le catches it. He kicks out Cote’s back leg, slamming him to the ground. Cote back up, but Le with a big statement. Cote short on a kick. Body punch lands for Cote, but he misses on a hook to the head. Both fighters land. Le’s head kick is blocked. Cote presses forward, but misses with his punches. Mean body shots traded by the fighters. Head kick from Le is barely blocked. Cote with a hook, but that is blocked, too. Cote looks takedown, but Le stuffs it and lands a strike. Body kick from Le. Cote forward with a combination, and Le makes him pay on a counter. Side kick from Le lands. Outside leg kick from Le. Another side kick for the former Strikeforce middleweight champion. Outside leg kick from Cote now, and Le lands a kick to the body. Another side kick from Le, but this one lands to the thigh. Outside leg kick from Cote. Cote chasing Le down, but nothing happening in the final ten seconds. Heavy.com scores the round 10-9 for Le.

Round 2: Cote closes the distance, but Le lands short punches. Spinning back kick lands high for Le, and Cote backs up. He comes forward and Le is there to meet him. Nice right hand lands for Cote, and Le is bleeding out of the mouth. Cote turning it up here, working combinations up against the cage. Le attempts to counter, but he is noticeably more timid. Le with a kick to the body, followed by a hook. Blood on Cote’s head now. Forehead. Cote comes forward with a leg kick. He is looking intense. Body punch for Cote. Le thinks side kick, but decides against it. Nice body kick lands for Le. Knee from Le, followed by a hook. Cote comes forward, but Le scores a big hook. Up against the cage, Le presses Cote in the clinch. Body shots from Cote as Le walks him across the cage, pressing him into it. Head kick from Cote is blocked as the round comes to an end. Round 3: Head kick from Le is blocked. Cote closes in, and Le lands below the belt. They immediately resume. Close-distance contest here, as Cote lands short punches and Le scores a few kicks. Knee from Le in the clinch, and Cote with a spinning back fist. They separate and go back to the chess mat. Neither guy is really able to gain an edge in the striking game. He gets it, but Cote hops back up and shoots in for a takedown of his own. Le hopping on one leg and manages to escape. Cote eats a couple punches, but continues to stalk. Forrest Griffin vs. Tito Ortiz
Round 1: Head kick from Griffin right away. Ortiz fires back with a combination, landing a right hand. Another high kick from Griffin, but it gets blocked. They nearly clinch, but separate immediately. Griffin with another head kick. Ortiz with a takedown attempt and he earns it. Ortiz with big elbows from the top. Ortiz landing several punches and moves to half guard. Good start to the round. Griffin rolls out and gets back to the feet. Another head kick from Griffin is blocked. Nice combination from Griffin, followed by a front kick. Ortiz comes back with a combination, finishing with a high kick. Outside leg kick lands for Ortiz. Nice combination from Griffin. Ortiz shoots in, but Griffin stuffs it. Griffin lands a nice one-two. Body kick from Ortiz. They nearly clinch, but Griffin throws him aside. Griffin with a body kick. Ortiz spits and presses forward. Outside leg kick from Griffin. He misses on a superman punch. 20 seconds left, and Griffin is working combinations. He lands a knee, as Ortiz looks takedown. Round 2: Big exchange right off the bat. Ortiz pressing forward, landing a nice hook. Griffin falls backwards against the cage and begins throwing wildly. They end up in the clinch, Griffin pressing his opponent into the cage. Ortiz looks like he is already beginning to tire quite a bit. Leg kick lands for Griffin once they separate, and the two begin striking back-and-forth. They trade jabs, and Ortiz fires off a right. Head kick from Griffin, followed by an inside leg kick. Both fighters seem to be a bit tired, but Griffin is by far the fresher one. Ortiz with a takedown. Griffin stuffs it and begins pounding away with hammerfists as the round comes to an end. Round 3: Griffin starts the third with a leg kick. Body kick lands for him shortly after. Ortiz is doing almost nothing. Front kick lands for Griffin. Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen
Round 1: Sonnen comes forward immediately, looking for a takedown. Silva, winging, gets put on his back immediately. Sonnen attempting to work his ground and pound, but Silva is avoiding nicely. Sonnen attempts to pass, but only ends up in half guard. More ground and pound from Sonnen, then a knee. Sonnen is not able to do much here, but he is scoring points. Midpoint of the round has been reached. The referee calls for action. Sonnen with a nice elbow, and Silva nearly slips a leg over. The crowd erupts. Sonnen with a couple good shots. Body punches from Sonnen. He moves to full mount with just under a minute left in the round. Silva is in trouble here. Sonnen with shoulder strikes. 10 seconds to go in the round. Round 2: Sonnen punches his way forward and into the clinch. He is looking for the takedown. Silva grabs a leg. Sonnen with knees. He drops down for a takedown, attempting to lift Silva up. The champion separates  and throws. He walks backwards, taunting Sonnen. They both land. Big punch from Silva, and Sonnen falls to the ground. Big knee from Silva.
