“UFC on FX 5” draws poor ratings

The live broadcast of “UFC on FX 5” drew 1.1 million viewers on FX last Friday evening.

That number ties “UFC on FX 3” as the lowest-rated main card broadcast on the channel. However, the average audience was just 300,000 viewers short of the 1.4 million earned by “UFC on FX 2.”

The card featured a total of five fights, including a heavyweight headliner between Antonio Silva and Travis Browne.

MMAjunkie.com reported the numbers today.

Silva defeated Browne by way of technical knockout. The Brazilian’s victory was at least somewhat marred by the fact that Browne tore his hamstring early in the contest.

Meanwhile, the preliminary card broadcast on FUEL TV also drew less-than-stellar numbers, drawing a sorry 44,000 viewers.

That number is by far the lowest in the history of “UFC on FX” preliminary cards being broadcast on FUEL TV. The second lowest? 84,000 for “UFC on FX 3.”
