Torres signs with WSOF, debuts in Nov.

Former WEC bantamweight champion Miguel Torres is moving on from his career under the Zuffa banner, but his new chapter will not begin with Titan Fighting Championships.

Instead, Torres will make his debut with the World Series of Fighting promotion on November 3, the talented veteran announced via Twitter. MMAFighting.com was first to report the news.

Torres was originally expected to debut with Titan Fighting Championships in Hammond, Indiana on November 2, but will make his debut with that promotion at a later date.

The World Series of Fighting’s November 3 show will be its debut, and the event is expected to broadcast live on NBC Sports.

Torres last competed at UFC 145, losing to the fast-rising Michael McDonald via first round knockout. Several months passed before Torres revealed he had been released by the promotion, though it seems this instance was more about disciplinary actions instead of concerns with performance.

He was first released by the UFC last December after an offensive Tweet. However, Torres displayed regret in both his words and actions, and UFC president Dana White welcomed him back after seeing the efforts he had made.
