Ellenberger vs. Hieron official as UFC 151 co-main event

The broadcast schedule for UFC 151 is finally set.

After an injury to Josh Koscheck forced him out of his co-main event fight with Jake Ellenberger, there was some uncertainty about what bout would serve as the co-headliner.

In Koscheck’s place, the UFC is bringing back longtime veteran Jay Hieron, and he and Ellenberger now meet in the co-main event.

UFC officials recently announced that contest.

UFC 151 takes place on September 1 in Las Vegas, Nevada, featuring a light heavyweight title fight between champion Jon Jones and top contender Dan Henderson.

Prior to the main and co-main events, the pay-per-view broadcast will feature three other fights, including Dennis Siver vs. Eddie Yagin, Dennis Hallman vs. Thiago Tavares, and John Lineker vs. Yasuhiro Urushitani.

The evening’s preliminary card, meanwhile, will begin on Facebook with two contests, then move to FX with four contests.
