UFC 148 prelims on FX set new mark for most viewers

The preliminary card for UFC 148 drew 1.8 million viewers on FX last Saturday night.

Four of the five undercard bouts were broadcast live, while the lone contest not shown on FX streamed live on Facebook.

The viewers for this particular broadcast sets a new mark in UFC events being broadcast on FX. No other event has drawn a larger number, including main card events that have been broadcast on the channel, including “UFC on FX 4,” which drew just 1.3 million viewers.

The preliminary card broadcast of UFC 145 originally held the top spot, drawing 1.6 million.

UFC 148 preliminary action featured four decision outcomes, including Melvin Guillard‘s win over Fabricio Camoes and Constantinos Philippou‘s victory against Riki Fukuda.

Meanwhile, the main card featured a middleweight championship contest between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen, which the champ, Silva, won via second round technical knockout.
