Schaub anticipates November return
UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub says he will likely return to action at UFC 154 this November.
The “Ultimate Fighter” veteran revealed to MMAjunkie.com that UFC matchmaker Joe Silva wants him to fight on November 17 in Montreal, though an opponent has yet to be named.
However, Schaub did state who he was interested in fighting, naming Lavar Johnson as a good potential match up.
Schaub last competed at UFC 145, losing to Ben Rothwell via first round knockout. The loss was his second in a row, as he was defeated by Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 134.
Prior to the pair of losses Schaub was on a four-fight winning streak and quickly becoming a contender in the heavyweight division. That streak included wins over Gabriel Gonzaga and Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic.
